Richmond 5K Custom Race Medal
The Story
The Moving Forward Richmond 5K began in 2017 as a community fundraiser to provide elementary school students in Richmond, California, with backpacks and school supplies. Over the years, the organization has expanded its impact far beyond race day, supporting scholarships, community clean-up initiatives, outdoor activities, and programs that encourage health, education, and service throughout the Richmond community.
To celebrate the event's 10th anniversary, the organizers wanted a medal that reflected both the city's identity and the positive momentum the event has created over the years.
Pins By Design has had the privilege of producing medals for this event for multiple years, allowing us to help evolve the design while maintaining the recognizable identity participants look forward to each year. The finished medal combines meaningful local imagery with premium materials to create an award that runners will proudly display long after crossing the finish line.
